Iron Removal Filter

“WRC” Iron Removal Filter shell is manufactured by mild steel with bedplate, fitted with pipe lines, Valves, Strainers, Sampling cock, Pressure gauge and fitted up with full charge of oxidigation catalytic filtering Media.WRC Iron Removal Filters are designed to remove iron content up to a maximum limit of 15 ppm as Fe. Depending on iron content of the feed
water, Selection of particular type of plant varies.

WRC Iron Removal Filter is a manually operated Catalytic Filtration Unit when i.e. unfiltered water posses through a bed of catalytic media ,the soluble ferrous salts are first converted to insoluble ferric salts by means of compressed air in the primary oxidigation chamber. Primary Oxidigation chamber is filled with highly porous cake MNO2, Providing a large surface area for through mixing then the filtered water comes out. Only
backwashing is necessary for cleaning the bed.
